The PSI Carnival is powered by volunteers! Who are these volunteers? They are parents, grandparents, PSI Alumni from both the Middle School and High School, and YOU! Shifts as short as an hour and a half, in fun things like games and clean up are still available.

This is a great time to pick up Spanish books! And on Thursday, Feb 12th there will be story times at 6pm and 7pm, a photo booth (bring a camera- we have the props!), scavenger hunt, bookmark coloring station AND special discounts off the purchase of books during the event with those that bring special friends (Grandmas, Neighbors etc).

The Family Mentor Program matches families new to PSI with experienced families. The purpose is to welcome, support, and offer information to new PSI families during the school year. The time commitment is minimal with maximum rewards.

We are in need of PSI host families for spring semester (mid-January to mid-June). We currently have 2 of 8 families confirmed for Spring 2015. Hosting is a unique and wonderful experience that can benefit your entire family, plus it’s a great way to give back to the students, teachers and staff of PSI and beyond. You will find the online hosting application at www.psiparents.com under the header ‘Get Involved.’

The student body is challenged to read 320,000 minutes and raise $16,000.
To meet these goals, each student is encouraged to read 40 minutes per day and raise $40 in total. The funds raised during the Leer-A-Tón directly support PSI’s Amity Scholar Program. Amities make it possible to keep a strong curriculum, provide for small group learning and bring culture and native language to our children.
Leer-A-Tón pledge forms will be sent home October 15th.
