How do we fundraise?

The PSI PTO raises money through 4 primary fundraisers. Leer-a-tón, the PSI readathon, is the fall collection campaign aimed at funding our Amity Intern Program and getting kids back into the habit of reading to kick off the school year! The PSI Silent Auction takes place each spring, and offers families the option of bidding on a variety of buy-ins, merchandise, and experiences. Teachers, Amity interns, parents, and local businesses all participate to play an important role in making this fundraiser a huge success each year. Additionally, the PSI PTO raises money through the Spring Ask and Give To The Max campaigns.

What do we do with the money we raise?

The PSI PTO fully funds the Amity Intern Program, which brings Spanish speaking teachers into our school to support student learning and to enhance the culture of PSI. Additionally, the PSI PTO supports teachers and staff by purchasing classroom supplies and hosting meals. The Student experience is enriched through the funding of artist-in-residence programs like the Latin dance and the mask projects, drama club, supplement snacks and field trip scholarships. Community is shared and expanded through the hosting of PTO events such as the Fall Picnic, Carnival, Science and Imagination Fair, Family Fitness, Math Night and more. Thank you for generously considering a donation to PSI PTO to support all of these endeavors and more!
