Room Parent Responsibilities
Each classroom has 1-3 room parents whose primary responsibilities are as follows:
1. Act as a liaison between the teacher and parents in your child’s classroom. This includes sending out occasional communications and requesting volunteers for field trips and classroom parties.
2. Plan, organize and facilitate 3-4 classroom parties per year with the help and direction of your child’s teacher. We use Sign Up Genius to coordinate all requests for supplies and volunteers. Parties are generally coordinated across the whole grade.
3. Forward PTO communications to families via an email distribution list approximately once a month.
