Please bring your Box Tops in this week to the school office, no matter how few! Every little bit counts. The deadline is approaching for another mailing to General Mills for free cash for our school. Let’s make it big. Thank you for all the Box Tops submitted so far.
The last scholastic book fair of the year continues until February 24th by shopping online! Please consider purchasing books thru the website and purchases made will still benefit our school by supporting our Amity interns and putting new books into our media center and classrooms!!

Calling all writers….by the way, that’s all of you! PSI is making its 4th edition published book of K-5 student writing called La revista. We need your best writing to make this happen. Between now and Feb 24th we are asking students to submit 1 or 2 writing pieces (1 Spanish and 1 English) to be considered for La revista.
We encourage all K-5 students at PSI to participate. It’s your chance to be a PUBLISHED writer. Please see the information sheet with all the details, but don’t delay. All submissions need to be done electronically through Google Docs. Then share your document through Google to: larevista17@gmail.com . If your writing piece is in Spanish, please share it on Google with your classroom teacher too. We hope to see lots of great writing from you this year!

PSI is thrilled to be joining the movement, 2016 Kindness in Chalk: An Anti-Bullying Movement (Started by an SLP Mom)! On October 3rd, PSI will join hundreds of schools in this movement to spread kindness by covering the sidewalks and playground at PSI with positive words, phrases, quotes and images that speak of love, peace, hope and acceptance with the intention of bringing smiles to the faces that need it the most during National Bullying Awareness Month. We are hoping this can be a surprise for the students. Can you help spread chalk love on Sunday, Oct. 2nd? Sign up to help on the signup genius here.
